Welcome to the University of Chicago Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Science!

The Department provides medical and surgical treatment of a wide array of ocular disorders involving infants, children, and adults. Our faculty offers a full range of ophthalmic services including comprehensive ophthalmic care, refraction and contact lens fitting, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, cornea, cataract and external disease, corneal refractive surgery, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics and orbit, uveitis, vitreoretinal diseases and surgery, and ocular oncology. We have a fully accredited residency training program, and offer a two year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery.
