The Vitreoretinal Fellowship Interviews for the 2007-2009 VR Fellowship will be Monday, October 29, 2007 and Friday November 2, 2007.
About the Fellowship
The University of Chicago Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Science offers a highly competitive 2-year vitreoretinal fellowship program. One fellow is selected per year. The fellow receives extensive vitreoretinal surgical & medical retina experience with Drs. Mieler, Hariprasad, Jager, Green and Grassi.
Surgical experience and medical experience is balanced equally between the first and second year fellows to ensure excellent and comprehensive training. Research is strongly encouraged during the fellowship and the fellows are expected to present a paper at one major vitreoretinal meeting (e.g., ASRS, Retina Society, or Macula Society) per year.
